Hi, I’m Sue Pollard.

I am a wife, a mother, a midwife, and an award-winning photographer. I specialise in shooting beautiful maternity and newborn images.

The first few weeks of a baby’s life are a blur. It passes so quickly and then suddenly this tiny bundle is smiling, laughing, walking… Growing up. In my primary career as a midwife, I have helped so many parents navigate these first few weeks in their new role. As I photographer, I freeze those moments in time.

I have nearly 20 years’ experience as a full-time midwife in the UK and in HK. I have worked almost everywhere a modern midwife can – in labour ward, postnatal ward, at antenatal clinics, alongside birth centre, within community, and at a stand-alone birthing centre. In the latter, I was the midwife-in-charge on shift for a period of over 3 years, requiring that I was not only the primary caregiver, but also a key decision-maker in situations critical to my clients’ safety and journey through childbirth.
